From free, family friendly NYE events to indulgent Christmas seafood fares, this is a Christmas Wishlist you’ll want to read! We recommend booking tickets to the ticketed events as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

Pikt Flowers Make Your Own Christmas Wreath Workshop
Get your craft on with Pikt Flower’s Christmas Wreath workshop. Over two hours, learn from the experts in their flower warehouse in the Byron Hinterland. Classes include floral tips and tricks, all flower materials and tools, your self-made Christmas Wreath to take home, tea, coffee, wine and complimentary nibbles.

The Farm’s Christmas Wreath Workshop
Design and create a Christmas wreath using a combination of dried and fresh botanicals. The Farm’s Christmas Wreath workshop will have you starting with a flower field tour as the sun starts to go down, learning all the tips and tricks about dried flowers, and creating your own foam-free Christmas wreath to take home. The workshop includes an abundant selection of seasonal flowers, foliage and botanicals (dried and fresh), use of all tools and equipment, drinks, snacks and little surprises along the way.

North Byron Hotel’s Christmas Bazaar
Pile the kids in the sleigh! Christmas is coming to the North Byron Hotel as they host their very first ‘Christmas Bazaar of Local Delights’. Showcasing the best of Byron Bay with a Christmas Producers Market, this is the spot to get all your Chrissy shopping done. As well as fresh produce, market stalls and food & wine pairings, there will be plenty of entertainment for the little elves (think face painting, reindeer rides, twilight Christmas carols, kids Christmas activities and a visit from our good mate Santa!). Entry is free, pre-book your ticket to avoid missing out.

Good vibes and fun times are guaranteed with a Santa On The Beach photoshoot. Everyone from little ones to grandparents to groups of friends are welcome at Santa on the Beach. There are a range of packages available, from $72 – $250; or even a private session for $550.

Kids Christmas Activities at North Byron Hotel
As part of their Summer Kids Program, the North Byron Hotel have a range of fun Christmas events for the kids to enjoy. The schedule includes Christmas Bauble Making, Christmas Star Mobiles, and a whole heap more.

Christmas Eve Lunch at The Hut
Gorgeous venue The Hut in the Byron Bay Hinterland is offering a Christmas Eve lunch with a specially designed menu. This is a perfect one to savour your holiday season with friends and family.

Guests at The Lord Byron are welcome to make the most of our facilities to create their idyllic Christmas Day away. Our undercover cabana is a spacious area with oversized armchairs, long tables and barbecue facilities. BYO bonbons and you’ve made yourself a wonderfully relaxed Christmas setting. Splash about in the pool and spa or have a hit of Christmas tennis. If you’re staying in our fully-furnished apartments, why not make use of having your own kitchen and cook up a Christmas feast of local produce.
Loft is offering a 5-course lunch to celebrate, with a Christmas Sharing Menu. They also have available a Kids Christmas Menu and a Dietary Menu, specifically designed to cater for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and pescetarian requirements.

New Year’s Eve in Byron Bay 2023
Soul Street is back for 2023, bringing the streets of Byron Bay to life over New Years Eve. This is a free, family-friendly, community NYE event with world-class roving street performers, community acts and family-friendly entertainment headlined by much-loved Australian performers. Multiple street hubs with food stalls, interactive lighting and world-class entertainment will be activated across Jonson Street and Dening Park.

Treehouse invites you to settle in under the palms with a locally-inspired share-style menu, margarita on arrival, and live DJs ’til late. If travelling with the kids, you’re encouraged to dine anytime before 6:30pm. Reservations from 8pm onwards are an adults-only affair.

Loft is celebrating New Year’s Eve with two options to choose from. Guests can opt for the family-friendly NYE Sunset Sitting (includes a spritz on arrival; drinks and food to purchase from Snack Menu and Kids Menu); or the Dinner & Countdown Sitting (with a 4-course sharing menu and DJs)

Balcony Bar invites you to join them for an epic party and evening groove. Your $50 ticket includes a cocktail on arrival and a glass of bubbles to see you into 2024.
