As a family-owned hotel, our featured artwork and one-off pieces have been carefully chosen to celebrate local creatives whilst creating that ‘home away from home’ feeling.
A stroll down our hallways will bring you face to face with the very essence of 60s & 70s surf culture through the lens of John Witzig. Catch a glimpse into Byron Bay’s iconic surf history with a series of 16 photographs, spanning the past 60 years and featuring legends like Bob McTavish, Nat Young and Wayne Lynch.
Throughout, you’ll find a mix of modern and abstract works from talented artists Bonnie Gray, Kate Mayes and locally-loved Diana Miller – to name a few!
Hand-picked Interiors
Cosy and thoughtfully designed, each of our rooms have a different feel thanks to hand-picked textiles and bespoke furnishings. Our bedheads and cushions are custom-made from Bourkeshire Interiors. Layered with coastal weatherboard finishes and custom built American Oak wardrobes, we’ve added antique brass touches and pops of colour. Shop the Vermont lamp at Florabelle Living and cosy love seats from the MCM House Joe Sofa Range. Settle in to sip your morning coffee.
A place to zen
Step inside our freshly renovated bathrooms, designed for ultimate holiday relaxation. We’ve combined rainfall showers and bathroom fixtures using Astra Walker‘s Eco Brass range with the Nood Co countertop basin. Handmade in Tasmania, our ceramic Dawn wall lights from Lighting Collective Byron Bay add the perfect finishing touch to the space.
To complete the spa-like feel, we love Appelles’ range of botanical toiletries – all complimentary with your stay. Soak in sandalwood & lemon Myrtle scented hand and body wash, mandarin & rosemary B5 enriched skin lotion and luxe shampoo and conditioner.
Bespoke pieces, unique finds
When it comes to our interiors, we love finding unique gems that bring character and personality to our spaces. We sourced these mermaid tail hooks and brass door numbers from Coastal Vintage.
For ceramic lovers, get ready to fall in love with our collection of handmade sculpted mirrors by artist Vincent Vauban. The Argonaute and Nautile pieces are available exclusively at Tigmi Trading, one of our favourite spots for boutique homewares and furniture. While you’re in Byron Bay, visit their studio on the Industrial Estate to explore their unique collections.
Poolside Bliss
At the heart of our hotel, tucked among lush tropical greenery, our heated pool is the perfect spot to unwind. Set the scene for sun-soaked afternoons on our Plantation Teak loungers from The Teak Place, paired with Basil Bangs umbrellas. The perfect set up for lounging with a cocktail in hand.
The Lord Byron Signature Welcome
If you’ve stayed with us before, you may recognise our signature scent – aptly named “Paradis” from A’sh Candles. Patchouli, Amber, Sandalwood & Mint – the ultimate scent of a Byron Bay coastal getaway. Want to take a little piece of paradise home with you? A’sh candles are available to purchase from reception.
Rounding out our welcoming space is our MCM House Axol coffee table in travertine.
